Macaroni Mince

Quick, simple, and tasty. Try grated cheese on top, serve with a crisp salad
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 Kg ground beef
- 425 g (1 can) peeled tomatoes
- 5 cups small macaroni
- ¾ cup tomato puree (or sauce)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup water
Method
Heat oil in a large frying pan, and fry the onion until soft
Add mince, and cook until brown, stirring until all red has gone
Add mince, break up chucks, and cook until light brown, stirring until all red has gone
Add tomatoes, puree, oregano, sugar, and water. Mix together gently until it starts to boil. Place on low heat and simmer for 40 minutes
Por macaroni into a large pot of boiling water, stir and boil for 7 to 10 minutes until just soft. Drain well in a colander
Serve mince sauce over the top of the macaroni, or mix it all together as your patrol likes?
