Quick Custard

Quick Custard

Serve hot on fruit cake, or with icecream

Ingredients

  • 1 l milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 raised tablespoons custard powder
  • 200 ml water

Method

Add water to milk. Reserve one cup of milk

Heat the remaining milk gently stirring all the time. Do not boil, do not use full heat

Mix custard powder with the cup of cold milk until smooth. When milk is warm but NOT boiling, slowly add the custard powder mix, stirring constantly

Add sugar. Bring close to the boil, and then simmer for three minutes while stirring
